We recently posted a video on our eMarketing YouTube channel about the effects of visuals on engagement. Picture and video content grows daily, just think about the number of people on social networks like Pinterest and YouTube. Pinterest alone is one of the top five traffic drivers in the world. Recently, Instagram’s daily active mobile users exceeded that of Twitter. So how can you use the power of visual content in your own eMarketing? We’ve got 6 tips from HubSpot to help!
- Share your message in a visual format wherever possible.
- Take the time to create your own visuals, such as infographics, memes, videos, etc.
- Since people connect emotionally to visuals, show them your business’ story.
- Encourage your fans and followers to share your content. Ask them to post their own visuals. Promote contests that revolve around sharing visual content.
- Don’t ignore words altogether – include a call-to-action, URL, caption or description with your visuals.

Just when it starts to get chilly, a warm tropical getaway might be the just the thing you need. Go
online, book some tickets, pack, board your plane and soon you’ll be sipping out of coconuts on an island oasis. This can move from a reality to a dream if you are booted from your flight. Yahoo! provides some tips on what not to do, so you can avoid getting kicked off of a plane:
Refuse To Buckle Your Seat Belt: If you think that you are too good to buckle up, then chances are you might be catching the boot! It is illegal not be buckled up during certain parts of the flight and airlines know this.
Bring a Crying Kid: This one would definitely devastate any family getaway! A crying child can violate conduct codes and be grounds for being removed from the flight. For parents, try to keep your child occupied during the flight or put them down for a nap. There would be nothing more depressing than consoling your crying child on the tarmac while your tropical paradise flies away.
Wear inappropriate clothing: If you have any concern about wearing it on the flight, then it is not a good idea. Leave anything questionable at home before you head to the airport. This can be a low-cut shirt, low hanging pants or just something offensive. If passengers find it uncomfortable then you can find yourself kicked off the flight.
Get in a fight: Who cares if the person next you got the last bag of peanuts? Check your hot head before you board the plane, as flying can be a stressful time for some. Throwing a punch or putting a stewardess in a headlock is not going to make your situation better, and you could face legal action.
Ignore the Request to turn off Electronic Devices: Angry Birds can wait for a little bit. Even if you consider yourself “glued” to your phone, listen to the flight crew when they tell you to turn it off. Bring a book or something to keep you occupied during the flight.
All these situations could result in you getting kicked off of a plane. Play it smart and just listen to the flight crew. If you would rather drive than fly or if you unfortunately don’t have a choice thanks to one of these situations, make sure you have the New Jersey auto insurance policy you need for your trip. If you need a new policy or simply want to check in on an existing one, call Encharter and learn more about NJ auto insurance from one of our helpful agents!

Read MoreWe’ve been talking a lot in our blogs about being the hostess during the holidays and the stress that can bring. For those of you that are traveling and staying with family, don’t worry, we know that can be stressful too! As guests, we often do everything we can to not completely depend on those kind enough to host us. This may include renting a vehicle for your stay at a relative’s home. After all, there may not be enough room in your luggage for all those gifts and you may find yourself back and forth to the mall. A question we frequently get from our clients is about their Massachusetts Car Insurance coverage when they are renting a vehicle.
There you are at the car rental place and they are offering you the option of purchasing insurance, but do you need it? There are a couple of things we recommend you do before you commit. First and foremost, if you know you will be renting a car on your next trip, call our agents and ask about your car insurance coverage! Our agents will be happy to give you their advice on the pros and cons of car rental insurance and let you know if you have the coverage you need without it. Sometimes your policy will provide rental car coverage and that may be enough for your situation. If you don’t own a car, this may be another reason to look into a non-owner auto insurance policy. Also in addition to calling your agent, give your credit card company a call. They sometimes provide coverage for situations with rental cars and accidents, but not always!
Your current Massachusetts car insurance coverage may be enough for your trip, but the only way to be sure is to ask your agent. Sometimes the rental car insurance is the right choice and other times you can stick with the auto coverage you have. Either way, the best person to help you make the decision is your insurance agent. As we always remind you, everyone’s policy is different so whenever you have questions about your specific coverage, it’s important to speak directly with your agent about your policy.
