A Message in a Bottle and Remembering your Massachusetts Insurance
I sometimes wish I made a time capsule when I was younger for the pure entertainment factor of digging it up. I’d probably enjoy deciphering my handwriting and going through my prized treasures of Hot Wheels and Pokemon cards. However, I would probably forget about the time capsule and never remember to dig it up. Heck, I forget about e-mails I send and am surprised when I get a response a week later after barely remembering what I wrote about.
If an e-mail is something I forget about weekly, imagine Frank Uesbeck’s surprise when a boy found a bottled
message that Frank released in the sea 24 years ago! A young teenager from Russia, Daniil Korotkikh, was walking on the beach along the Baltic Sea and the bottle caught his eye.
The message was simple, “My name is Frank, and I’m five years old. My dad and I are traveling on a ship to Denmark. If you find this letter, please write back to me, and I will write back to you.” Although Frank was unable to get his message out in time while still on the boat, Daniil tracked down Frank and they may become pen pals.
Frank forgot about the message initially, but who can blame him? We forget things all of the time, but it doesn’t make us senile. Forgetting to call a friend, pay your Massachusetts home insurance bill or where your keys are can become common for everybody.
To help your memory, keeping a list by your desk or on your phone can help track your errands. A good night’s sleep will also improve your memory. Either way, it is important to keep in touch with friends, review your MA insurance bill, and remember where your keys are. If you had a time capsule, mark your calendar for ten years from now to dig it up. If not, maybe you’ll get lucky and have somebody like Daniil find it for you.
