Halloween Safety Tips
It’s October 22 and that means that it’s getting closer to Halloween. Kids are anxious to get their costumes if they don’t have them already; and if they do have them, they’re wearing them every day after school because they can’t wait to dress up and get free candy from their neighbors. As fun as it can be for them, parents need to be especially careful to keep their kids safe. Here are some tips that you might find useful, courtesy of Halloween Safety.com:
- If you can’t go trick-or-treating with your kids, make sure that an adult is going with them.
- Help your child pick out or make their costume.
- Make sure you set a time by which your children should be home and make sure they know how important it is that they are home on time or that they call if they are going to be delayed.
- And if the parents decide to have a party while the kids are out, make sure that you’re protecting yourself with Personal Umbrella Insurance. Umbrella Insurance gives you additional liability coverage that will cover your potential losses from a lawsuit in the event of an accident on your property.
