Hey, Internet Marketing – What’s New?
It’s nothing new to hear that there are a bunch of changes in the world of Internet Marketing. Below, you’ll
find some new features that have broken out in the last week.
LinkedIn: You can now share more on LinkedIn, making it comparable to programs like Dropbox. You can now post images and documents, including slide show presentations and white papers, to your LinkedIn profiles.
Facebook: Similar to Twitter, Facebook began rolling out a “verified profile” feature to some high profile accounts. The same little blue checkmark that we’re used to will appear next to the user’s name. Verified profiles will continued to be rolled out over time.
Pinterest: This one is my favorite, mainly because of the amount of recipes I’ve pinned and how difficult it is to
find something I pinned a while back. But Pinterest finally added a search feature to help you sift through your own pins! By selecting the filter “just my pins,” your search will only look through your content. While it’s only available on the web version at this time, the mobile update is in the works. Guess I’d better start adding better captions to some of my pins!
Foursquare: This social network is allowing small businesses to promote themselves to nearby Foursquare users. When a user is nearby, a business can entice people to stop in by showing off a picture, a review or by
simply having their listing pop up. Right now, this feature is currently being tested by small businesses in New York.
TweetDeck: While the mobile version no longer exists, the desktop version just got a makeover. The physical appearance is brighter, and the menu has been changed to a left sidebar, which can be expanded to view the tools latest menu icons.
