Improving Twitter One App at a Time

By now, Twitter has established itself as one of the world’s most prominent sources of social media, for both personal use and businesses alike.  Twitter is always coming out with innovative ways to make their site more user friendly, especially as an avenue for marketing.  Now, other companies are joining in to create ways to better utilize Twitter in a social media campaign.  Here are some apps that you should check out if your company is on Twitter.

Hootsuite – an app that manages all of your company’s social networks, like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.  This is also a great app for companies that have multiple employees working on the same social sites, making it possible for everyone to see what is going on and even what is planned to post.  Simpler functions include scheduling tweets and having a dashboard of your timeline, interactions, and sent tweets.

InTweets – lets you create/follow channels of tweets that better align with your interests and company goals on Twitter.  Check out InTweets if you’re actively searching for followers talking about a certain subject matter or trending topic.

SnapBird – known as the “Google” for tweets.  Using SnapBird you can easily search through your history to find past tweets that you are looking for.

TweetDeck – similar to the dashboard layout of Hootsuite, TweetDeck manages columns of your timeline, tweets, interactions, activity, and messages so you can better organize yourself on Twitter.

ManageFlitter – this is one of the easiest ways to note the best times for your company to post tweets and who your tweets are actually reaching.  This is definitely an app that will multiply your effectiveness on Twitter.

ByeByeBirdie – this app alerts you when you lose a follower so that you can unfollow them as well.  This is a functional app for companies who have a focus on their follower/following ratio.

These are just a few more ways to better utilize Twitter in your social media campaign.  If you have more questions about using Twitter for your business, follow us @Encharter and tweet us your questions.
