Laughter is the Best Medicine
Some say laughter is the best medicine, and it appears there may be some science behind that. A Japanese study revealed that laughter can help reduce blood pressure and weight. Laughing relaxes the body and releases endorphins. It is also extremely contagious, which means surrounding yourself with people that make you laugh can prove beneficial to your health.
The study, discussed at the American Heart Association meeting in Atlanta, lets us know that laughter isn’t the cure-all solution, but is a step in the right direction. Laughing can reduce the risk of heart disease and suffering from a stroke.
This doesn’t pertain to only laughter either. Uplifting and familiar music can also aid to lowering blood pressure. These two things are great to partake in whenever possible, but timing can mean everything.
Although listening to music is common when in the car, you have to be sure not to be too preoccupied with it, along with passengers. Distractions lead to car accidents, which lead to an increase in your Connecticut car insurance bill. A nice drive with friends and music can become a nuisance when you have to exchange CT auto insurance information and call your CT insurance company.
So enjoy music whenever you can and laugh until your cheeks hurt, but make sure to always be on the lookout when behind the wheel of your car.
