MA Auto Insurance – CT Auto Insurance – Take a bite out of Winter Snow and Ice
It was time to buy some new tires. My old ones were “well worn” and it was starting to impact the performance of my car on cold snowy days. Since we are in store for a bunch more of those, living in New England, it was time to pick out a new set of tires. But should I go for snow tires or all season radials?
In the end, I chose the snow tires. Yup, it is going to be a pain having to go back to the tire shop to change them out, however, the added traction seemed worth it to me. I must say, I have noticed a significant difference in the snow vs. my old tires. Hey, if the use of snow tires helps me to avoid one accident, they will be well worth the investment.
First of all, I carry a high deductible to help me get low cost car insurance. I don’t want to submit small claims to the insurance company, since they will just increase the price of my insurance, so I choose a higher deductible. Thus, avoiding accidents helps me keep money in my pocket.
I also spend a fair amount of time carting my kids and their friends back and forth to various events. An accident with kids in the car could really cost me, especially if someone gets hurt. Sure, I carry a Personal Umbrella to protect me from Auto Liability law suits. However, it is way better to prevent the accident that to rely on auto insurance to protect me. No amount of money can “fix” a serious accident and the resulting injuries.
So why not go and check the tires on your car. Perhaps you could benefit from some new snow tires. I know you could benefit from an insurance review by your friendly Encharter Insurance agent. We can make sure your auto insurance policy is up to date and has all the coverage you need.
At Encharter, “It’s all about protecting you!”
