Pretty Up Your Porch
Why not enjoy the warm weather this summer and take advantage of your porch? The only problem might be that your outdoor patio looks drab and unappealing. The great news is that there are ways in which you can change that! With a few style tips, your porch will go from a desolate hideaway to the envy of your New Jersey neighbors.
Swing Out Some Style – There is nothing wrong with a porch swing, even if it seems a little cliché. A porch swing not only has an inviting appearance, but it also is a great way to relax. During the mornings or evenings, there is nothing better than sitting on a swing and blowing in the breeze, whether you are sipping on your morning coffee or your after-work wine.

Decorate with Flowers – A great spread of colorful flowers could be just the thing you need to add some color to your porch. At the florist, think of what would match your house and compliment the porch the best. Also, ask about what flowers are easiest to maintain and will do best in whatever sunlight your porch gets. If you’re on the sunny side of the street, keep that in mine.
Classy Chimes – Some subtle music can really make your porch feel like a vacation getaway. Find chimes that not only sound great, but look nice also. Maybe find ones that go with the same color scheme as your flowers. Does anything sound more relaxing than swinging on your porch swing and listening to relaxing wind chimes? Be careful you may be sleeping on your new porch!
Add Some Shade –No matter how nice your porch looks, if it is too hot then no one will want to use it. Adding an awning or getting some shades will fight off the heat so you can enjoy your cool, shady porch.
Hopefully, you can implement some of these changes to enjoy your porch more this year. In New England, you always have to take advantage of the warm weather because you do not know how long it will last. Another great way to spice up your home is with proper coverage.
