Have You Sent Your Holiday Cards?

Did you remember to take your holiday card picture while your family was all together for Thanksgiving?  Well, it’s time to start sending those cards out to friends and family.  With everything else going on, this tradition can really feel like a chore. This year, check out these tips on how to get your cards out early, stress-free. Don’t wait until it’s too late! Especially if you have family and friends out of state, make sure your cards aren’t still at a New Jersey post office on December 23rd.

  • Make a realistic list – and stick to it!  Think about how many cards you’ll need to print, envelopes you’ll home insurance new jerseyneed to address, stamps to adhere, and most likely hand-written notes you’ll need to write to each person on your list.  The work definitely adds up.  Consider starting with close friends and relatives to cover your bases and then if you have the time and energy, extend greetings to other acquaintances.
  • Consider a stamp or sticker for your return address. – It might be a little less personal but this is the one thing that will be exactly the same for each envelope so save your hand strength.
  • Snail mail – Keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks to mail to friends across the country.
  • If you don’t think they’re too tacky – consider sending e-cards.  This will take a majority of the work out of the sending process and maybe you could spend more time personalizing the messages.
