We recently posted a video on our eMarketing YouTube channel about the effects of visuals on engagement. Picture and video content grows daily, just think about the number of people on social networks like Pinterest and YouTube. Pinterest alone is one of the top five traffic drivers in the world. Recently, Instagram’s daily active mobile users exceeded that of Twitter. So how can you use the power of visual content in your own eMarketing? We’ve got 6 tips from HubSpot to help!

  1. Share your message in a visual format wherever possible.
  2. Take the time to create your own visuals, such as infographics, memes, videos, etc.
  3. Since people connect emotionally to visuals, show them your business’ story.
  4. Encourage your fans and followers to share your content. Ask them to post their own visuals. Promote contests that revolve around sharing visual content.
  5. Don’t ignore words altogether – include a call-to-action, URL, caption or description with your visuals.
  6. You can share visual content on more than just Facebook and Pinterest. Tweet it; Instagram it; include original visuals in your blogs; etc.

So what are you doing to get visual with your fans and followers? Let us know in the comments! And as always, don’t forget to subscribe!
