It’s finally getting to seventy degree temperatures in New England and for those of you that own a motorcycle, that means one thing: it’s time to take the bike out! Before you hit the road, make sure you have the motorcycle insurance coverage that you need. Aside from the coverage it can offer you for accidents, you would also be grateful for the coverage if your motorcycle was stolen. What would you do if your motorcycle was stolen? Motorcycle theft is on the rise and you need to make sure you would be covered if your bike was stolen.
Talk with your agent to make sure you have the right liability limits and coverage for accidents and theft. When it comes to accidents make sure you have medical payments coverage in case you get hurt during a motorcycle accident. As far as avoiding theft, make sure you secure your bike to a heavy source,
remember to take the keys out of the ignition, and install an alarm system. Also, ask your agent about discounts that may be available to help you save. What kind of discounts should you ask about? Let them know about any safety courses or training you have had, if you do have an alarm system, or if you have more than one motorcycle.
