It’s not just the site that is undergoing changes either. Pinterest has just added some helpful tools to their mobile app. Whether you use your mobile app for your business Pinterest page or you just use these helpful additions for your personal account, it’s always good to be aware of just how much you can do on your phone.

Pinterest now allows you to receive push notifications. They recently added notifications to their site, but now you can also see who commented or mentioned you in a pin right on your mobile device. These notifications can keep you posted on your Pinterest presence on-the-go without you even having to log into your account. They have also added a feature which allows for you to mention your friends. Want to show them your post or reply to a comment? Simply select the “@” symbol and type in their name and they will receive a notification.
Lastly, they have improved the search feature on your mobile phone app. As you are typing, they will suggest search terms and recent searched. For example, if you had recently searched for a certain product on your computer that will be more likely to come up when you’re searching on Pinterest. It’s important to note that these can also easily be deleted if you don’t find them convenient.
What do you think of the new changes? I love the new Pinterest site and I especially love the notifications now. As a marketer, it makes managing our Pinterest account MUCH easier. It allows me to interact with followers and keep track of which pins are popular way easier than I was able to in the past. While we are on the subject, check out our Pinterest page here!

Luckily, there are ways to sift through the needless ideas and get the most out of marketing yourself online. It might seem challenging at first but before you know it; your web presence will be quite prolific.
Get Help – There is nothing wrong with trying to give it your all and asking for help. Looking to others for assistance is the way to go. Do not be afraid to have someone look over your resume, google your name, or administer a mock interview. The reason a second set of eyes is so helpful is because we sometimes get so used to a mistake, we’ll just tend to gloss over them.

Get Tweeting – Keeping a social presence is key in this tech savvy world. Do not be afraid to follow
your favorite companies and organizations. They will be one of the first to post job openings and you will be one of the first to hear.
Get Linked – LinkedIn has become increasingly popular in the past few years. This site allows you to build up a strong professional network in no time at all. Employers can browse your accomplishments and contact you nearly any time.
Get Clout – Blogging is the new form of writing on the web. Having a WrodPress of Blogspot could be the key to developing not only a web presence, but a fan following. Just make sure that you have consistent content which is free or errors. The ability to communicate effectively is a key trait many job recruiters look for.
Get Clean – Here is the double-edged sword of internet availability. Anyone can post anything anywhere. This includes your cousin’s baptism, family picnics, but also that Halloween party where your head ended up in the punch bowl! With a vigilant eye, you can clean up your online presence and make it appear pristine for your employer.
Following these steps will not guarantee you a job, but they definitely will help. Many people are hesitant to develop a web presence, but in today’s market you should be available on at least one social media platform, whether it be Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter. To see what a great web presence we have, check out or Facebook or Twitter.
