When “Here Comes the Bride” starts playing the last thing you want is to be stressed out. If your wedding day is fast approaching, it’s impossible to not be a little stressed out and worried. You have probably spent most of your life dreaming about this special day (haven’t we all, ladies?) and it’s finally here. You have chosen the invitations, the cake, the DJ, and the extremely important dress, so the worries should be gone. If you are still stressing about everything going smoothly on your wedding day, we have some tips to keep you calm.

  1. Make an assessment and have a plan. Are there things you are worried may happen or may be an issue? Have a plan in place or figure out how you will handle it if an issue comes up.
  2. Meditate. Whether it’s deep breathing or some pre-wedding yoga, do your best to keep calm through meditation.
  3. Consider softening scents.  Did you know the scent of lavender is known for its soothing capabilities? Drinking lavender tea or burning a lavender candle may help keep you calm.
  4. Stay connected with your fiance. This is a great way to make sure you don’t forget what it is really about you: you and him.
  5. Adopt a mantra to remind yourself any time you feel stressed or overwhelmed.
  6. Stay healthy. Exercising and eating better can not only help you look your best, but also have you feeling better.
  7. Let yourself be nervous. It’s completely normal and healthy to let yourself have a little bit of jitters. Don’t allow yourself to think this means something bad.
  8. Write down your feelings. There is so much emotion and excitement going through your heart and head it’s a great time to jot down how you feel (or what’s bothering you). You can send your future husband a letter or write one to yourself you can read next time you get in a big fight.
  9. Delegate friends and family to help out. There’s no reason you should be doing all the work on your big day.
  10. Pamper yourself.  A manicure and pedicure won’t just have you looking great, it will also help you relax! Throw in a message (maybe a couples with your future groom?) before the big day too.

As you prepare to walk down the aisle, you have a lot on your mind about your future. From an insurance standpoint, now is a great time to think about a Massachusetts Life Insurance policy. It may not be something you want to think about at such an exciting time, but it’s more about being prepared, especially now that you have begun to start your family.  There are a lot of options when it comes to life insurance and our agents can help you sort through those questions, and get you the right policy for you. You may also be surprised at how affordable a top quality life insurance policy can be.
